How To Study
Let's face the facts. We all make excuses for not taking the time to study most things. However, being an MLO will be your livelihood. If you don't pass these Component Exams and register with the NMLS and the State, you can't process mortgage loan applications. You're going to have to make the time to study. The Component Exams are not free. You must pay to test each time you take an exam. We want you to pass, and we want you to tell your friends and associates just how easy it was to pass using the Duane Gomer study method that we present below. (Remember the old TV commercial, "You'll tell your friends, and they'll tell their friends, and so on, and so on, and so on".)
Order our materials. You'll get everything you'll ever need within 2 or 3 business days. Then, you can start your studies so that you can successfully pass the Component Exams.
Set aside time to study. Read the Hondros Textbook. Honestly, it is by far the best 170-page "Refresher" textbook available today. And we want you to have only the best materials to study with.
Go to our specially prepare web page (address provided with purchase). Start with the first link, "Important Days". Study them. Try to remember them. These dates and facts just might be presented as a Component Exam question. Do the same with the remaining five links, with extra attention to our "Cliff Notes" (hint, hint).
Our "Flash Card Review" will test your knowledge. Just like flash cards in school, you read a statement with a "fill in the blank" answer. Do your level best. Repeat the flash cards often until you can just instinctively respond to the question. Do this for each of the links in the Flash Card category. Once you master this, taking the practice exams will be a flash.
Our Practice Exams were create for you to "bring it all together". Since our staff have taken the exams, and some students have provided some exam feedback, we have a pretty good idea of what to expect on the "progressive" exam. What is a "Progressive Exam"? A "progressive exam" is an exam the picks questions from a "pool" of "approved" questions with probable answers with one "most correct" answer. The questions will be presented in a random order. No two examinees will view the same exam.
